Constitution & Reform Education Consortium (CRECO) released its Status of violence report. The report is a compilation of reports by the Long Term Observers who had been deployed in the 47 counties and had been monitoring any possible eruption of violence and report to CRECO.
Some of the findings included;
- There is a general increase in violence over the period
- Political motivation is the leading factor in violence followed by resources and ethnicity
- More civilians are seen as perpetrators compared to state actors
- Hate speech has taken a new form – non prominent people, non high profile meetings
